Books In Context

As I designed the books,

I was thinking how it could be used in public,

not just reading it on a bus/train or what ever, what other ways,

and the e-books came to mind,

iPhones? iPads?

I decided to go with the iPad ideas and here is what I came up with;

This is what the set up would look like if they were put on the existing book shelf used on apple reading programmes.

From here all you would do is simply tap the book you would want to read, for this example we will select 'Envy.'

Then the book cover will take up the full screen, and if you intend to read the blurb you would simply swipe your finger from right to left, and the book will rotate.

You would read the book as a normal book, but instead of turning page you would simply swipe your finger across from one side to the other, this includes going forward pages and back pages.

Whilst the book it upright you can only see one page at a time.

But if you rotate the iPad 90% it will automatically change to a double page spread, which could make easier viewing for a few people. and the same applies with turning the pages.
