I have decided to put all the images onto one blog, unlike the reservoir dogs blog,
Make it abit easier;
Pulp Fiction, released 1994, is one of the most famous movies released in the 90's.
I started with this idea, using the idea of the $5 shake, something that is used from the movie,
this is something that stuck with me when I first seen it, so decided to see what I can do with the idea of the milkshake.
Trying to turn the shake into the idea of it being a suit, shirt and tie.
Messing about with different perspectives, positioning, I felt at the time that it was a good strong idea, but I knew I could put something better together.
The idea of using a suit, shirt & tie, in the style of a siluet, using the black background to my advantage.
I have put together the two suits, using the two main characters, most seen and know by the audience, during the movie.
Blood has been used because thats how there suits end up looking at the end of the movie,
but I wanted to make it look more animated that serious.
The idea of using the two suits, gave me the idea of using two heads,
The heads of the main characters, who are played by John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson.
You can see from the images who they are, but I just don't feel they have the spark that the other designs have.
These ideas where my strongest for the Pulp Fiction poster,
Bruce Willis who stars in the movie, picks up and puts down a selection of weapons,
The weapons being in order, Hammer, Baseball Bat, Chain Saw, Samurai Sword.
So I decided to do a set of siluets for the poster, messing about with size and positioning,
I have tried to make the weapons on the poster a realistic size, to add to the poster, I didn't want all white, so I decided to put a little red into the mix, putting on the slate underneath the sword, showing what his weapon of choice was.
