Brief 01

Movie Marathon

Design a range of movie posters, that will be returning to cinemas as a "Movie Marathon" choose a director, and produce posters of their classic movies and other ways to promote the event.

Concept/Proposition_

What films will you choose?
How ill you go about creating these?
Will you use anything to do with the old movie posters?
Will you use photography? Illustrate? What direction would be best?

Considerations_

What are you trying to communicate?
Who to? Why and what do you want to achieve?

You going to make it humorous? Serious?
Possibly combine the pair.

What is already out there and how can you adapt, modify, reuse or respond to it?
The relationship between you concept, your audience, and the context in which it is to be seen/delivered should inform the tone of voice.

Target Audience_

People who would enjoy watching the chosen films,
might never have got the chance to see them on the big screen,
may be a big fan of the director or just the movies.

Tone of Voice_

Depending on the film could depend on what tone of voice you would need to take.

Background_

Choose a director of whose films you enjoy watching, and would like to work with and create a set of posters of there biggest hit movies.

Mandatory Requirements_

All design work must be backed up by sketch book or layouts

Research developed onto your blog, continually through the brief.

Deliverables_

Design a set of posters, minimum of 5, advertising the movies coming back onto the big screen for a Movie Marathon, in what ever way you see fit.

Also create another way of promoting the event, leaflet? booklet? flyers?
