Brief 03

Magazine & Layout

Design a magazine, a topic of your own choosing, could be sport? Music? Hobbies?
Anything that interests you.

The magazine must have a front and back cover with 20-30 pages inside.

Concept/Proposition

How will you produce the magazine?
Will it be a selling item?
Promoting items?
Photography?
Illustrations?

Considerations_

What are you trying to communicate?
Who to? Why and what do you want to achieve?

You going to make it humorous? Serious?
Possibly combine the pair.

What is already out there and how can you adapt, modify, reuse or respond to it?
The relationship between you concept, your audience, and the context in which it is to be seen/delivered should inform the tone of voice.

Target Audience_

Your target audience will be based on what type of magazine you decide to produce, So this is up to yourself.

Tone of Voice_

Magazines are produced in all different shapes and sizes,
Some are based on humour, others take the serious route.

Background_

Magazines are world wide sellers, there are millions of magazines all covering different topics and aspects of life.

There are that many magazines, that maybe everything in the world by a magazine article.

Aswell as reading magazines you can also get yourself practical magazine, puzzles, so people can write and do games etc.

Mandatory Requirements_

All design work must be backed up by sketch book or layouts

Research developed onto your blog, continually through the brief.

Deliverables_

Produce a 20-30 page, topic of your choice,
Must have a front and back cover.
